OPI Black Spotted over Julep Courteney

I'm still obsessed with black spotted and I'm still slapping on top of every mani I wear... This is Julep Courteney (2 coats) with SV and then black spotted on top. Courteney was a little thick in the bottle so I added thinner and then it was perfect. Juleps cremes are very pigmented and almost always benefit from a little thinner.

I kind of don't like this combo, I love the green on its own, and I obviously love the spotted effect but together they're very swamp thing... Just not my cup of tea I guess

OPI Black Spotted over Julep Rose

Didn't get a chance to post this yesterday, so here's rose with black spotted on top. I'm learning that the thinner the coat of black spotted the better the spotting is, notice the difference between my left and right hands.

Julep Rose

I'll be back later to post pics of this mani topped with black spotted... But for now this is julep's Rose, 2 coats plus SV. It's really bright and slightly more fuchsia than hot pink in real life. This polish was a little on the thick side but a few drops of polish thinner will fix that right up. Other than that the formula and application were perfect, which is pretty typical of julep polish

OPI Black Spotted

I got it! This elusive French exclusive was sent to me by an awesome polish fairy and I am so excited. I was wearing OPI I don't give a Rotterdam and threw this on top as soon as I opened the package. The polish is very thin and doesn't need you to keep going over the nail like I've seen in YouTube, I just did my regular three strokes and it started to spot up immediately. I think I'm really liking the effect and will probably wear spotted manis all week.

Color Club Ultra Violet

Quick NOTD, one of my favorite colors ultra violet from color club. Is a great neon fuschia with a gorgeous blue duo chrome flash. This is 2 costs plus SV, sorry the pics aren't great, but my iPhone tends to do that

Missin my baby...

It occurred to me that I never finished my goodbye puppies series, I'm going to try and fix that.

This post is for cow baby. He was my absolute favorite of the group, he was the most alert from day one and the first to open his little eyes. He had the strongest bond with me and hilariously peed all over my boyfriend's lap. Because I hated giving him up he was the last to go and he's the one that I miss the most.

Essence Fruity Collection Banana Joe + stamping

Today I've got the last of the essence fruity collection colors, banana joe. Banana joe is a very soft pearly shimmery pastel yellow. This is three coats, it probably could have used a fourth but I wanted to stamp over it so I left it three. If it was still springtime I'd probably top it with some lynnderella glitter and love the dainty result.
-The stamping was done with konad

Cheeky XL Plate A

I got my cheeky xl plates today! I ordered a set of three from amazon for 25.01, a lot less than I would have paid ordering from magno nails. I also ordered an xl stamper from eBay. I really like these plates, the images are crisp and long enough to cover my entire nail, I always have to double stamp with konad, red angel, and bundle monster.
The xl stamper is about a third larger than the standard konad stamper, you'll need one if you're trying to get the whole image or if you have long nails like me. If you don't then there's no point in spending the extra money. The xl stamper is softer than the konad one, it might take a little getting used to as you don't have to press hard to pick up or stamp.
Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase, I've been wanting these designs for a while and for about $30 I feel like I got a good deal. The quality of the plates is a lot better than the majority of fauxnads out there and I may buy the rest of them in the future.

Daring Digits Master Shake

Today in wearing daring digits master shake. I'm very disappointed in this polish... The listing shows a deliciously squishy soft white jelly with pink and gold glitter, she changed the formula and this polish is now a frosty pearly mess. The formula went on pretty easily, and if you like frosty pearly things this may work out well for you. I really don't like it and didn't even polish my right hand. This is 3 coats plus one coat SV.

All That Glitters Hole Hearted & Zoya Uli

I don't do nudes. I can never find one that suits my coloring, I have about 8 different shades of tan that make me look funky just sitting in my melmer. That being said, I was gifted Zoya Uli in an Easter exchange that I was a part of and I REALLY like it. It has just enough gold in it to be interesting and is 'nude' enough to not make me look oddly pink or green. I can't possibly leave well enough alone so I topped Uli with Hole Hearted. I LOVE hole hearted in theory, but in practice it's a lot of work to get even one heart per nail...
Pictures are Uli by itself and then with hole hearted.

Tina and Lucy Disco

Today I'm wearing Disco by etsy seller Tina and Lucy. This is two coats. To be totally honest, I was a little disappointed with this polish. The listing shows a very coral looking shade and this is very much tan/nude. It's my fault though because the description says its a tab base, I guess I'll just have to pay more attention next time.

New glitter frankens!

I love matte micro glitter, I especially love micro glitter in white base... So, I've been feeling a serious need to make my own, and here they are. The first is a matte white base with black micro glitter, it's pretty dense and has excellent coverage. The second is semi matte with pink and black micro glitter and fine satin finish pink glitter.
I've been getting a lot of questions about my frankens and whether or not I'm going to sell them. I don't think I would want the responsibility of a store but if you want one of my glitters send me an email and we can definitely work something out.

Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker Matte

Still not 100% from my surgery (it's been a little less than a week) so I decided to rewear a polish I love. This is P&P jawbreaker, the original formulation so it's slightly pink tinged from the red squares that Chelsea used to use. To change it up a bit I topped it with Essie Matte About You which gives a beautiful velvet matte texture. This is 2 coats jawbreaker, 1 coat SV, and one coat of matte about you

I'm back! Julep Susan and Amy

I'm back from the hospital, my operation went well and I should be back on my feet in a few days. I couldn't sleep the night before so I painted my nails... I chose Julep Susan and Amy and used them to make contrasting flowers, this mani made it through my hospital stay and seemed to entertain my nurses.
