Fur Babies!
My dog Layla had a litter of puppies two weeks ago. She had four and they all opened their eyes as of today. They are impossibly tiny and unbearably adorable and it's time for them to make their Internet debut. So, for your viewing pleasure, puppy spam!

Chanel June with Lac Attack
I don't own too many high end polishes, I'm a student and try to stretch my polish dollars as far as they can possibly go. As a result I don't even bother to look at the limited edition releases from Chanel, why get my hopes up for no reason? But I was recently offered this polish in a swap and I jumped at the chance. June is the most perfect orange, it's on the sheer side so three coats were necessary but the amazing formula more than made up for that. I was missing my glitter do I added a Lac Attack accent nail.

RBL Scrangie
Scrangie is my very favorite nail blogger, her swatches are responsible for at least half of my polish purchases. When I found out she had her own polish I knew that I had to have it, regardless of what it looked like. It turned out that scrangie was a gorgeous multi chrome purple, I love it. Here is two coats with SV.

Nubar Purple Beach
I'm taking a break from my usual glitterfest for the multi chrome deliciousness that is purple beach. I loved the nubar formula, opaque in two perfect coats, dries quickly, no shrinkage with SV. This polish made me love all things nubar, and I plan to get more as soon as the budget allows!

Essence Fruity Collection: One Kiwi A Day
Today I'm wearing shade 04 One Kiwi A Day from the essence fruity collection. This is one of five shades that my penpal sent me from Europe, as far as I know they're unavailable in the states. This color is a gorgeous creamy lime green speckled with tiny turquoise glitter. It also has a very lovely golden secret shimmer that becomes much more noticeable in direct sunlight. Here I'm wearing three coats and one coat of SV, the polish dries glossy but I use SV to cut drying time.

My friends never cease to amaze me...
You may know that I am a member of a nail board. I have met many people across the globe on this forum and feel very fortunate to be able to call some of these ladies my friends.
A few months ago I became penpals with one of these fabulous ladies and we've been trading letters and small gifts since. I have always wanted a penpal, I love getting hand written letters in the mail and there's something so exciting about corresponding that way. Email is faster, and we do email each other as well but I try to leave the meat of my news for the letters I send.
Any how, yesterday I received a package from my wonderful beyond words friend. She sent me pictures of her recent vacation, a fabulously long letter, foreign sweets that are so much fun to look at (and eat) and the most generous gift of nail polish. I know that I have lots of polish, but this gift is special for a few reasons, the first is that it's unavailable to me in my country, the second and much bigger reason is that a person I've never met before took time to pick something that she knew I'd love and went out of her way to send it to me.
It's funny that the things that seem to make me the happiest are small gestures that some people might take for granted. If my friend reads this I would like her to know how much I truly appreciate her. And if you have a friend who does little things to make you happy maybe you can try to brighten their day too.
I will have a nail polish post this evening and plan to use these awesome polishes very soon!

Elemental Styles E=mc2
Today I'm wearing E=mc2 from elemental styles. This is three coats plus gelous and SV. The formula was a little thicker than I usually like but was very easy to work with and was PACKED with glitter. Coverage was very even and I didn't have to dig, fish, or spot place glitter at all!
