Today I'm wearing the 2nd of my Essie mirror metallics, Blue Rhapsody. I knew that I'd be topping this with glitter do I decided to try a peel off base coat that my friend sent from Germany.
The base coat did a good job of smoothing the surface of my nail, as good a job a my ridge filler does. It applied white and dried clear (see picture). I expected this to wear off very quickly but I actually got four days out of it before I got sick of the color and picked at it myself.
As far as the peeling goes, it's not as peel-y as I expected. If you've ever put too much top coat on your nails and had it pop off in large nail shaped pieces then you know what it's like to use this. It more or less came off in big pieces but left no damage to the nail. I liked it and will definitely save it for days I feel like glitter bombs.

Essence Snow White Collection Evil Queen
As some of you know I've had a few surgeries in the past month and have been busy trying to recover. A very sweet friend of mine knows this and sent me the most wonderful RAOK. She sent ALL of the Snow White glitters, an Essence peel off base coat and the cutest little Dior make up purse. She did all this in the name of a get well present, I was totally floored and am left speechless by her kindness and generosity. I can NOT thank her enough, I was so excited and thrilled when I opened the package.
Without further ado, here's evil queen over OPI DS Original. Evil Queen is a 'special effects' glitter topper, I found that it was best to dab it on in order to get the glitter to spread out evenly. I used one coat of Wicked Fast top coat but am thinking that I should have used SV, wicked fast bubbled.
The Essence limited edition collections are not available for sale in the us. So if you have a friend in Europe you may still be able to get these, otherwise your best bet is a swap.

Essence Fruity Collection Banana Joe + stamping
Today I've got the last of the essence fruity collection colors, banana joe. Banana joe is a very soft pearly shimmery pastel yellow. This is three coats, it probably could have used a fourth but I wanted to stamp over it so I left it three. If it was still springtime I'd probably top it with some lynnderella glitter and love the dainty result.

Essence Fruity Collection: Very Cherry
Today Im wearing another one of the fruity polishes my pen friend sent me. This shade is called very cherry, it's a very pretty salmon/peachy pink speckled with tiny fuchsia glitter. This is three coats plus SV. The formula on these is great and a pleasure to work with, I think I'll layer it with glitter tomorrow so I'll post an update if and when it happens. Non flash picture is an accurate representation of opacity and finish, flash pic is being obnoxious and making vnl where there is none but it is color accurate.

Essence Fruity Collection: peach beauty and Lynnderella love, lace, and lilacs
This is the second polish I've tried from the essence fruity collection that my friend sent me from Germany. This polish is a very pretty pastel orange. The formula was pretty good, I used three coats but it was easy to apply and there was no tip shrink or pooling at the cuticle. The whole time I've had this polish I knew it would make an awesome base for love lace and lilacs... So as soon as my Lynnderella order came in I put this combo on. It really reminds me of orange sherbet.

Essence Fruity Collection: One Kiwi A Day
Today I'm wearing shade 04 One Kiwi A Day from the essence fruity collection. This is one of five shades that my penpal sent me from Europe, as far as I know they're unavailable in the states. This color is a gorgeous creamy lime green speckled with tiny turquoise glitter. It also has a very lovely golden secret shimmer that becomes much more noticeable in direct sunlight. Here I'm wearing three coats and one coat of SV, the polish dries glossy but I use SV to cut drying time.
